About KV

The Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1 Kanchrapara has completed 40 years. The Vidyalaya is run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It came into being in 1982, starting its day from the Military Barrack and a makeshift building. Over the years the school has progressed and now stands with all its pride and beauty in the lush of green sprawling field in a beautiful three storied building. The beautiful garden and vast play ground supplements to its aesthetic beauty.

The Vidyalaya caters to Science, Commerce and Humanities stream at the + 2 level. The Vidyalaya is situated to the east side of Kanchrapara Railway Station.
